How we publish

Standards before speed.

The rules SportsNow applies to sourcing, corrections, authorship, AI-assisted workflows, and commercial relationships.

Updated September 7, 2026

Accuracy and sourcing

  • Attribute claims to primary documents, direct statements, or clearly identified reputable reporting whenever possible.
  • Separate confirmed facts from analysis, forecasts, rumours, and opinion.
  • Use specific headlines that reflect the reporting rather than exaggerating what is known.
  • Do not publish unresolved placeholders, invented quotations, or unsupported first-hand claims.

Authorship

Source-based briefs carry the SportsNow Editorial Desk byline and identify the originating report. A named contributor is displayed only with a substantive profile. A desk byline does not claim independent reporting, first-hand experience or manual review.

AI-assisted workflows

SportsNow may use software and AI tools to support research, transcription, summarisation, translation, formatting, metadata, or production checks. These tools do not receive a byline and do not replace editorial responsibility.

Routine source-based briefs can publish automatically after checks for source availability, image validity, duplication and sensitive material. Automatic publication does not mean a human checked every fact. Flagged stories require review, and readers can report an error through the correction link.

Corrections and updates

Material factual errors should be corrected promptly and transparently. Developing stories may be updated as reliable information changes. Significant changes should be reflected by an updated timestamp or correction note where appropriate.

Commercial independence

Advertising and affiliate relationships do not determine news coverage or editorial conclusions. Commercial placements should be recognisable, outbound partner links should use appropriate disclosure and link attributes, and operator terms always take precedence over promotional summaries.

Accountability

Readers can contact SportsNow about accuracy, sourcing, accessibility, privacy, or commercial disclosure. Messages are reviewed by the appropriate editorial or operational owner.
