The 2026 TGL playoffs commenced on Tuesday night at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where Los Angeles Golf Club secured a 6-4 victory over Atlanta Drive Golf Club to clinch the first spot in the championship match. In the second semifinal of the doubleheader, Jupiter Links Golf Club defeated Boston Common Golf with a 9-5 scoreline, officially ending Boston’s season. These results set the stage for a title showdown between Los Angeles and Jupiter Links scheduled for next Tuesday.
During the opening match, Chris Gotterup provided Atlanta Drive with an early advantage on Hole 1. On the third shot of the hole, Gotterup successfully drained a putt from 13 feet, eight inches to put his team on the scoreboard. Atlanta increased this lead on Hole 3 after an approach by Gotterup stopped 11 feet from the pin. Los Angeles Golf Club opted to accept a hammer throw, which doubled the value of the hole. Patrick Cantlay then converted a putt from 10 feet, seven inches, extending the Atlanta lead to 3-0.

Justin Rose initiated the comeback for Los Angeles by sinking a long-distance putt on a subsequent hole. His successful attempt from 24 feet, four inches out marked the first points for his squad and narrowed the deficit to 3-1. The momentum shifted entirely on Hole 13 during a head-to-head session between Rose and Cantlay. Both competitors landed their third shots approximately 15 feet from the hole. Rose converted his attempt while Cantlay missed, allowing Los Angeles to take a 5-4 lead before finishing the match with a 6-4 win.
The Los Angeles roster featured Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sahith Theegala, while Collin Morikawa remained the lone inactive player. Atlanta Drive utilized the trio of Gotterup, Cantlay, and Billy Horschel, with Justin Thomas and Lucas Glover sitting out the semifinal contest.
Jupiter Links Dominates Second Semifinal
In the nightcap of the 2026 TGL playoffs, Boston Common Golf took an initial 1-0 lead on the first hole. Adam Scott secured the point by draining a putt from just over 12 feet away. Jupiter Links responded immediately on Hole 2. Tom Kim’s second shot landed on the fairway 18 feet from the pin, setting up Max Homa to sink a chip shot that leveled the score at 1-1.
Jupiter Links took its first lead of the evening on Hole 7. Following approach shots by Homa and Akshay Bhatia that left the ball three feet from the cup, Kim finished the hole to move the score to 3-2. Kim continued his high-level play on the hole known as "On the Rocks." Having previously recorded a hole-in-one there during the regular season, his first shot on Tuesday stopped just under two feet from the hole. This precision prompted Jupiter Links to throw a hammer, which Boston Common declined, resulting in a point for Jupiter.
Roster Rotations and Championship Outlook
Jupiter Links reached the 9-5 final margin with a lineup consisting of Kim, Homa, and Bhatia. Legendary golfer Tiger Woods and teammate Kevin Kisner did not participate in the match. Boston Common’s active roster included Scott, Rory McIlroy, and Keegan Bradley, while Hideki Matsuyama was the designated inactive player for the evening.
The victory for Jupiter Links ensures they will face Los Angeles next Tuesday to determine the inaugural league champion. Boston Common and Atlanta Drive were eliminated from title contention following their respective four-point and two-point losses. The matches at the Palm Beach Gardens venue showcased significant distance putting, highlighted by the 24-foot conversion by Rose and the tactical use of the hammer throw by Los Angeles and Jupiter Links to pressure their opponents during high-stakes moments of the 2026 TGL playoffs.
