Philadelphia signed 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract on Saturday after he originally joined the team on an Exhibit 10 deal.
The Philadelphia 76ers announced Saturday that the team has converted center Tacko Fall to a two-way contract. The 7-foot-6 center originally joined the franchise last month on an Exhibit 10 deal. Fall, who is 30 years old, enters his fourth NBA season after most recently playing for the Ningbo Rockets of the Chinese Basketball Association.
Philadelphia made the roster move following significant injuries to its frontcourt rotation. Projected backup center Ariel Hukporti suffered a season-ending right Achilles tear during the preseason. Additionally, center Adem Bona has been sidelined by a foot injury, while Dominick Barlow missed preseason action due to back soreness.
Fall returns to the NBA for the first time since the 2021-22 season, which he spent with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He previously played two seasons for the Boston Celtics alongside current 76ers forward Jaylen Brown. ESPN reports that the team's current lack of healthy frontcourt depth likely led to Fall securing this roster spot.
