Boston finalized the acquisition of Rutschman from the Baltimore Orioles last Monday just before the MLB trade deadline. Additionally, catcher Carlos Narvaez and a player to be named later were sent to Baltimore to complete the deal.

Tracy informed reporters that this machine work has been officially incorporated into Anthony's daily routine and will continue for a period of time. Before his injury, Anthony appeared in 130 plate appearances this season, recording a .229 batting average and one home run. The outfielder is reportedly getting closer to beginning a formal rehab assignment.
