Al Ain defeated Al Nassr 4-0 on Tuesday, marking the largest margin of defeat for Cristiano Ronaldo since his move to Saudi Arabia.

Al Ain defeated Al Nassr 4-0 on Tuesday to open the Asian Champions League Elite campaign. Houssine Rahimi initiated the scoring in the 25th minute and doubled the lead for the UAE-based club shortly after the hour mark. Soufiane Rahimi extended the advantage to 3-0 with 18 minutes remaining before assisting Georgios Giakoumakis for the final goal of the match.

According to ESPN, this result represents the heaviest defeat Cristiano Ronaldo has experienced since joining the Saudi Arabian champions. It is the largest margin of loss for the 41-year-old forward since Manchester United fell 4-0 to Brentford in August 2022. Ronaldo, who currently has 979 career goals, saw a late free-kick attempt saved by Al Ain goalkeeper Khalid Eisa.

Al Nassr coach Ange Postecoglou accepted responsibility for the performance, stating the team was poor as they fell to their third winless result in four matches. In other tournament action, Al Hilal secured a 2-1 win over Al Gharafa despite both sides being reduced to 10 men. Rúben Neves scored a first-half penalty and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic netted in the second half to clinch the victory.
