Arsenal recovered from a James Justin goal to defeat Leeds 2-1, with substitute Bruno Guimarães scoring the winner in the 70th minute.

Arsenal defeated Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium to move level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City. James Justin opened the scoring for the visitors in the 55th minute, capitalizing after David Raya failed to clear a low cross from Gabriel Gudmundsson. The Gunners equalized in the 62nd minute when Riccardo Calafiori converted a close-range header from Ben White. Substitute Bruno Guimarães secured the win eight minutes later, firing home a flick from Declan Rice just six minutes after entering the match.

Leeds entered the contest unbeaten in the league and nearly took a first-half lead when Raya saved a shot from Gudmundsson just before the interval. Arsenal’s only significant early chance came from Kai Havertz, who headed a Noni Madueke cross directly at goalkeeper James Trafford. Following the halftime break, Martin Odegaard missed an opportunity to score from a Madueke cut-back, while Raya was forced to tip an Ao Tanaka long-range effort over the bar.

The victory follows a 3-0 loss for Mikel Arteta’s side against Brighton and places the defending champions behind Manchester City only on goal difference. City are scheduled to face Liverpool on Sunday in their first fixture since being found guilty of various financial breaches. The result ended Leeds' undefeated start to the season and marked the second goal for Guimarães since his £75 million transfer from Newcastle.
