Arsenal secured a 2-0 home victory against Everton with goals from Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhães.

Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium to move level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City. Defenders Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhães each scored once, with one goal coming in each half, to secure the home victory during Storm Austen. The result allowed the Gunners to close a three-point gap following Manchester City’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa earlier the same day.

Mikel Arteta’s side has now conceded five goals in eight league matches, tying Brighton for the best defensive record in the division. Despite the win, Arsenal have scored 13 goals in eight games, a total surpassed by City, Brighton, and Chelsea. The Gunners entered the match without injured starters Bukayo Saka, William Saliba, and Christos Tzolis, while Jurriën Timber, Kai Havertz, and Bruno Guimarães were among those named to the bench.

Everton manager David Moyes played without the injured Jack Grealish and Jarrad Branthwaite. Arsenal’s starting lineup featured rare appearances for Myles Lewis-Skelly, Noni Madueke, and Viktor Gyökeres. This victory follows previous wins against Leeds and Nottingham Forest as Arsenal attempts to defend their title. The Gunners are scheduled to face Manchester City at the Emirates on Nov. 29.
