D'Andre Swift and the Chicago Bears agreed to a three-year, $33.75 million extension featuring $27.5 million in guaranteed money.

The Chicago Bears and running back D'Andre Swift reached an agreement on a three-year, $33.75 million contract extension, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on September 11, 2026. The deal includes $27.5 million in guaranteed money and keeps the 27-year-old under contract through the 2029 season. This agreement comes two days before Chicago's season opener against the Carolina Panthers.

Swift is coming off a 2025 campaign where he led the Bears' rushing attack with 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. He also contributed 299 receiving yards and one touchdown on 34 receptions. His performance helped Chicago establish the NFL's No. 3 rushing offense, averaging 144.5 yards per game, while generating 127 explosive plays during the regular season.

The extension marks the second contract Swift has signed with the franchise since joining as a free agent in 2024 on an initial three-year, $24 million deal. Over the past two seasons, the running back has started 34 of 35 games, including postseason appearances. General manager Ryan Poles noted on September 1 that Swift benefited from working with coaches Eric Bieniemy and Eric Studesville during his second year in the system.
