Broncos Score 30 Second-Half Points to Secure 30-26 Victory Over Rams

The Denver Broncos (2-1) overcame a 16-0 halftime deficit by scoring 30 points in the final two quarters to defeat the Los Angeles Rams 30-26.

The Denver Broncos improved to 2-1 this season following a 30-26 comeback victory against the Los Angeles Rams at Empower Field at Mile High. After trailing 16-0 at halftime and generating only 67 net yards of offense in the first two quarters, Denver scored 30 points in the second half. Quarterback Bo Nix finished the game with three second-half touchdowns—two passing and one rushing—marking his 10th fourth-quarter comeback win since the start of the 2024 season.

ESPN reports that the Broncos were outgained by 225 total yards, as the Rams (482 yards) ran 80 plays compared to Denver's 62. Nix struggled early, completing 6-of-12 passes for 53 yards before the break. However, the Denver defense limited Los Angeles to a 1-of-4 success rate in the red zone and recorded three of their four sacks on Matthew Stafford in the second half.

Safety Talanoa Hufanga provided a critical defensive contribution with two interceptions in the second half, including a 66-yard return for a touchdown. Despite the win, head coach Sean Payton expressed frustration regarding the team's slow starts, noting that the offense's early performance would be problematic in larger games. The Broncos have now won 13 one-score games since the start of last season.
