Tampa Bay became the first NFL team since 1974 to win a game without a completed pass, defeating Atlanta 16-0 behind 324 rushing yards.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5) defeated the Atlanta Falcons 16-0 on Sunday, becoming the first NFL team since 1974 to win a game without completing a single pass. Playing in driving rain, quarterback Baker Mayfield finished 0-for-3 through the air as the offense recorded minus-2 net passing yards due to a sack. Tampa Bay set a franchise record with 324 rushing yards, accounting for 100.6% of their total offensive yardage.

Bucky Irving led the ground attack with 170 yards and a 4-yard touchdown on 27 carries. Teammate Kenny Gainwell added 140 yards on 25 attempts, marking the first time in NFL history two teammates each recorded at least 25 carries and 125 rushing yards in the same game. Kicker Chase McLaughlin provided the remaining points, converting field goals from 46, 34, and 42 yards to remain a perfect 19-for-19 on the season.

Atlanta (3-5) was held scoreless as Michael Penix Jr. completed 8 of 24 passes for 125 yards and threw four interceptions. Alex Anzalone accounted for two of those turnovers, while Jacob Parrish recorded a third interception on a fourth-down play at the Tampa Bay 17-yard line. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson was limited to 76 yards on 19 carries, and kicker Nick Folk missed a 53-yard field goal attempt wide left during the opening series.

The victory marks the second time in the Super Bowl era a team has won without a completion, following the Buffalo Bills' 16-12 win over the Jets on September 29, 1974. The Buccaneers have now won three of their last four games and sit a half-game behind the Carolina Panthers in the NFC South standings.
