Caleb Williams recorded his second straight 300-yard passing game to lead the Chicago Bears to a 30-24 victory over the New England Patriots.

The Chicago Bears improved to 5-2 on Thursday night with a 30-24 victory over the New England Patriots at Soldier Field. Quarterback Caleb Williams completed 22-of-33 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns, marking his second consecutive game with at least 300 passing yards and no interceptions. Cairo Santos secured the win with a 58-yard field goal, which set a personal career high and tied for the third-longest kick in the stadium's history.

Luther Burden III led the Chicago receiving corps with 130 yards and a touchdown on four catches. His 24-yard score late in the second quarter helped build a 13-point lead, though the Patriots narrowed the gap before halftime. New England quarterback Drake Maye finished 24-of-31 for 321 yards with two passing touchdowns and one rushing score. Maye's 48-yard touchdown pass to Rhamondre Stevenson as time expired in the second quarter was the longest offensive touchdown to end a half since 2024.

The Patriots fell to 4-3 following the loss, hampered by the game's only turnover—a second-quarter interception thrown by Maye to the end zone. New England's defense surrendered several big plays, including five completions of at least 22 yards. Chicago's defense recorded two sacks against Maye, extending their streak of multiple sacks to all seven games this season. The Bears next travel to face the Seattle Seahawks on November 2, while the Patriots visit the Miami Dolphins on November 1.
