Quarterback Caleb Williams set a franchise record with 3,942 passing yards and led the Bears to a 31-27 wild-card win after trailing by 18 points.

Caleb Williams led the Chicago Bears to a 31-27 wild-card playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers after overcoming a 21-3 halftime deficit. During the comeback, Williams completed a critical fourth-and-8 jump pass to Rome Odunze to sustain a touchdown drive. The performance helped Williams set a new Bears single-season franchise record with 3,942 passing yards. Following these achievements, the quarterback was selected as the cover athlete for "Madden NFL 27."

The Bears currently hold a 4-2 record in Williams' third season, though they remain 0-2 in NFC North play. Williams is scheduled to lead Chicago against the New England Patriots on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. ET. Off the field, Williams maintains a close circle with other local athletes, including Chicago Bulls forward Matas Buzelis and Chicago Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Crow-Armstrong, who is expected to be named National League MVP on Nov. 12, recently became the seventh player in MLB history to record 40 home runs and 40 stolen bases in a season. Williams and Buzelis attended a Cubs game in September to witness Crow-Armstrong hit his 39th home run in a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers. Additionally, Williams has received public support from Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard, who wore the quarterback's jersey prior to a divisional playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.
