The judges scored the contest 97-93, 97-93, and 96-94 in favor of the 35-year-old Northampton native. Cameron utilized accurate hooks and cleaner power shots to secure the win, adding Mayer’s WBC belt to the WBO title she previously captured from Michaela Kotaskova in April.

Unification Battle in Birmingham

The encounter between two of the world's top pound-for-pound fighters began with Cameron establishing an early lead. The former undisputed junior welterweight champion landed heavy shots in the opening frame that left Mayer, 36, with blood trickling from her right ear. Mayer, a three-weight world champion fighting out of Las Vegas, responded in the second round by utilizing sharp jabs to repel Cameron’s forward pressure. The American maintained this tactical approach through the third round, preventing Cameron from planting her feet to deliver significant power.

In the fourth and fifth rounds, the momentum shifted back to the English boxer as she found success with hooks during close-range exchanges. The American insisted she outboxed Cameron and declared that any second meeting would not take place in the United Kingdom. Dubois, the younger sister of WBO heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois, dominated the majority of the ten-round bout after Moore provided competitive resistance in the opening two frames.

Dubois began finding openings in the third round and landed heavy punches in the closing seconds of the fourth. In the fifth round, Moore was given a count after stumbling to the canvas, which she attributed to a head clash, though Dubois had landed several clean strikes during the sequence.
