Carlos Alcaraz extended his winning streak to seven matches with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Juan Manuel Cerundolo at the Shanghai Masters.

Second seed Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the third round of the Shanghai Masters with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Argentina's Juan Manuel Cerundolo. The Spaniard, who entered the tournament on a seven-match winning streak, debuted a mustache as part of a pact with his team following his title win in Tokyo earlier this week. Alcaraz confirmed the facial hair will remain for the duration of the tournament.

In other action, fourth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated Camilo Ugo Carabelli 4-6, 7-6 (1), 7-5 in a match lasting nearly three hours. Daniil Medvedev also recovered from a set down to beat Jan-Lennard Struff 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. This was Medvedev’s first appearance since being defaulted in Beijing, an incident that cost him $285,000 in prize money. The win improved his career record against Struff to 10-2.

Stefanos Tsitsipas secured a 6-3, 6-4 win over 18th-seeded Luciano Darderi despite a 15-minute delay caused by bright court screens. Defending champion Valentin Vacherot, who won the title as a qualifier last year, defeated Sebastian Baez 6-4, 7-6 (5). Notably, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner is absent from the draw after withdrawing from the remainder of the 2026 season due to a right knee injury.
