Caroline Dubois Joins Pound-for-Pound Top 10 After Katie Taylor Retires

Caroline Dubois returned to the top 10 rankings following a unanimous decision win over Amelia Moore as Katie Taylor ended her career as undisputed junior welterweight champion.

Katie Taylor retired from professional boxing on Sept. 5 after defeating Flora Pili by unanimous decision to become a two-time undisputed junior welterweight champion. The bout, held at Croke Park in Dublin before more than 80,000 fans, concluded a career that included an Olympic gold medal and an undisputed lightweight title. Taylor's departure from the rankings allowed Caroline Dubois to move into the No. 10 spot following her Aug. 29 unanimous decision victory over Amelia Moore in Birmingham.

Chantelle Cameron climbed to No. 3 in the pound-for-pound list after defeating Mikaela Mayer by unanimous decision on Aug. 29. With the win, Cameron unified the WBA, WBO, and WBC junior middleweight titles. Mayer, who signed with Most Valuable Promotions in March, remains ranked at No. 6 despite the loss. Cameron now holds a 23-1 record, with her only career defeat coming against Taylor.

Claressa Shields maintains the No. 1 position with a 19-0 record after a sixth-round TKO of Kaye Scott on Aug. 15. The victory saw Shields move down from heavyweight to reclaim the WBC and WBA middleweight titles. Undisputed flyweight champion Gabriela Fundora moved up to No. 2, extending a four-fight knockout streak with a sixth-round stoppage of Viviana Ruiz Corredor in March.

Amanda Serrano reached 50 professional wins on Aug. 21 by defeating Lucrecia Manzur via majority decision. Serrano remains at No. 4 and stays tied with Christy Martin for the most knockouts in women's boxing at 32. Alycia Baumgardner, the unified junior lightweight champion, rose to No. 5 and is scheduled to challenge Elif Nur Turhan for the IBF lightweight title on Nov. 8.
