In his first NFL start in 1,009 days, the 38-year-old Keenum completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards, two touchdowns, and zero turnovers. He accounted for a third score via a 1-yard quarterback sneak into the end zone.

Keenum’s scoring passes included an 8-yard strike to Luther Burden III to cap an 11-play, 66-yard opening drive and a 41-yard connection with Kalif Raymond late in the third quarter. Facing 12 blitzes from Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, Keenum went 11-of-11 for 145 yards and two touchdowns against the extra pressure. The 20-point margin marked Chicago's largest win on "Monday Night Football" since the 2010 season.

Coach Ben Johnson turned to Keenum, who was persuaded out of retirement in 2025, because starter Caleb Williams is sidelined for three to four weeks with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Backup Tyson Bagent did not clear concussion protocol until Sunday. Keenum, who practiced all three days last week, has now won games as a starter for seven different franchises, tying Ryan Fitzpatrick for the most in NFL history. With this result, NFL teams starting a non-Week 1 quarterback improved to 6-0 this season.
