This game is the fourth instance in the 2024 major league season where a team has hit seven or more home runs, following an eight-homer game by the Chicago Cubs on July 1.

According to Sportradar, Cleveland’s six homers in the first four innings surpassed previous franchise marks of five homers set on July 22, 1994, against the White Sox and August 15, 2019, at the Yankees. It was the 24th time in MLB history since 1974 that a team achieved six home runs in the first four innings, with the most recent occurrence being the New York Yankees against the Washington Nationals on August 27, 2025. The Guardians' offensive explosion provided a significant boost to a lineup that had been searching for a breakout game for most of the season.
