Keenan Allen will miss the Sunday game in London against the Commanders after a groin injury prevented him from practicing on Friday.
Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Keenan Allen has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders in London due to a groin injury. Allen, who ranks second on the team with 13 catches for 100 yards through three games, was unable to participate in Friday's practice after the injury developed recently.
To address the vacancy, the Colts promoted veteran Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad. The team is already playing without No. 1 wideout Alec Pierce, who is currently on injured reserve with a heel injury and must miss at least three more games.
Indianapolis may see the return of backup receiver Ashton Dulin, who was a full participant in Friday's practice held in the London area. Dulin has missed the previous two weeks with an ankle injury. Currently, Josh Downs leads the team in receiving yardage as the Colts prepare for the international fixture at a depleted position group.
