Conor McGregor Expected to Compete in BKFC Following UFC Exit

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship founder David Feldman stated he would "bet everything" that Conor McGregor fights for the promotion after his UFC deal ends.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) founder David Feldman told ESPN he expects Conor McGregor to fight for the promotion once his current UFC contract expires. McGregor, 38, has one fight remaining on his deal with the UFC. The former two-weight world champion became a part owner of BKFC in 2024 and is heavily involved in the business side of the organization, which Feldman founded in 2018.

McGregor recently returned to the Octagon in July following a five-year hiatus, where he suffered a first-round loss to Max Holloway. During the opening seconds of that bout, McGregor sustained a knee injury that resulted in a torn ACL. While he is currently recovering and requires surgery, the Irishman has suggested a potential return to competition in the summer of 2027.

Feldman noted that McGregor’s focus is expected to shift entirely to BKFC after he completes his final UFC appearance. The promotion is scheduled to host its next event in Manchester, England, on Sept. 26, featuring a matchup between former UFC athletes Darren Till and Yoel Romero.
