Despite a 2-4 record and a two-game losing streak, the Dallas Cowboys hold a 64% chance to win the NFC East according to ESPN Analytics.

The Dallas Cowboys enter a Monday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field with a 2-4 record and a two-game losing streak. Despite the slow start, ESPN Analytics gives Dallas a 68% chance to win the NFC East. The division-leading New York Giants currently hold a 3-2-1 record and are transitioning to J.J. McCarthy as their starting quarterback. The Eagles are also 2-4 and will play without Jalen Hurts, who is sidelined for the remainder of the regular season due to blood clots. The Washington Commanders sit in last place at 1-4-1.

Statistically, the Dallas defense under coordinator Christian Parker ranks 25th in points allowed per game (26.5) and 30th in total yards (382.5). The unit is currently ranked last in the league in run defense, surrendering 149.8 yards per contest. On the other side of the ball, the Cowboys offense has scored 29 total points over the last two weeks. Playcaller Brian Schottenheimer noted that the unit has struggled to sustain a running game and has lacked big plays due to difficulties handling the blitz.

Quarterback Dak Prescott described the team's mindset as urgent, noting the importance of securing wins to remain a playoff contender. Wide receiver CeeDee Lamb emphasized that the opportunity to win the division remains available because of the poor performance of other teams in the NFC East. The Cowboys returned all offensive starters from a successful 2025 campaign but have hit a wall in recent performances leading up to the Week 7 contest.
