San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks following a hamstring injury suffered in Sunday's 32-29 victory against Seattle.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. is expected to miss at least the next two games after sustaining a right hamstring injury during Sunday's 32-29 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed on Monday that further testing showed the injury "got him pretty good," though the exact timeline for his return remains undetermined beyond the initial multi-week projection.

Samuel exited the contest with 5:06 remaining in the third quarter. The injury occurred on the left sideline when he was tackled by Seahawks linebacker Drake Thomas, causing Samuel to land on the ball and fumble. He remained on the ground for several minutes before being helped to the sideline and was ruled out shortly after. Backup linebacker Garret Wallow also suffered a hamstring injury in the same game and is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks.

The 49ers are currently without four of their top five wide receivers. Ricky Pearsall, De'Zhaun Stribling, and Demarcus Robinson are all on injured reserve. While Robinson is nearing a return, he cannot open his 21-day practice window until after the upcoming Monday night game against the Washington Commanders. Veteran Christian Kirk is also on IR with a calf injury and is unlikely to return to practice this week.

San Francisco enters Week 6 with Mike Evans, Jordan Watkins, Brandin Cooks, and Jacob Cowing as the only healthy receivers on the active roster. To address the depth shortage, the team may utilize practice squad players Will Pauling, Xavier Smith, or Malik Turner. Defensively, the team is monitoring Nick Bosa, Kyle Juszczyk, and James Thompson Jr., all of whom have a chance to return to action this week.
