Greece moved level on points with the Netherlands in Group A2 after a 0-0 draw against Germany in Thessaloniki.

Greece and Germany played to a 0-0 draw at Toumba Stadium in Thessaloniki on Thursday, a result that leaves Ivan Jovanovic's side level on points with Nations League Group A2 leaders the Netherlands. The hosts have now secured four points against Jürgen Klopp’s team in their last two meetings, following a victory in Augsburg earlier this month. Germany remains in third place, three points adrift of the leaders, with Klopp recording one win, two draws, and one loss in his first four matches as national team manager.

Jonas Urbig maintained the clean sheet for Germany by denying an early header from Giorgos Masouras and a second-half attempt by Konstantinos Mavropanos. Germany appeared to take the lead in the 32nd minute when Jonathan Burkardt converted a cross from Derry Scherhant, but the goal was overturned by VAR due to a handball by Tom Bischof during the buildup. Greece goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis preserved the draw by stopping goalbound strikes from David Raum and Scherhant.

Discipline and missed opportunities defined the closing stages as Jovanovic received a yellow card for a touchline outburst midway through the second half. Germany captain Florian Wirtz, making his 48th international appearance, saw a late long-range effort fly over the crossbar, while Philipp Treu missed a final chance to break the deadlock. Greece entered the match following a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands and previous victories over Serbia and Germany.
