Erling Haaland has urged Manchester City players and fans to remain positive following a guilty verdict on more than 100 charges of breaching Premier League financial regulations.

Erling Haaland has called for Manchester City to "stick together" after an independent commission found the club guilty on all of the 100-plus charges regarding serious breaches of Premier League financial regulations. The verdict was made public during the October international break while the majority of the squad was away on national team duty.

Manchester City has branded the commission's decision as "unsafe" and confirmed the filing of a comprehensive appeal against the ruling. The team is scheduled to play its first match since the verdict on Sunday, traveling to face Liverpool at Anfield.

Haaland, who joined the club from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, told club media that the team must look ahead and try to win football games despite the legal situation. The Norway international spent four years of his childhood in the UK while his father trained at Carrington, and he described the region as a special place for his family.

Manager Enzo Maresca’s side faces a hostile reception at Anfield, though Haaland told Sky Sports that the players must enjoy the ride and spread love to one another. Sources indicate that Pep Guardiola is set to attend the club's first home game following the guilty verdict.
