
The 2026 Ballon d'Or nominees were revealed on Tuesday, featuring 10 players from Paris Saint-Germain and the first nomination for Lionel Messi since 2023.
Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal, and Kylian Mbappé are among the 30 players nominated for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, as announced on Tuesday. The shortlist includes 2024 winner Rodri alongside his Barcelona teammates Pau Cubarsí and Yamal. Lionel Messi earned his first nomination since winning his eighth trophy in 2023. Paris Saint-Germain dominates the club representation with 10 total nominees, followed by seven from LaLiga and four from the Premier League.
The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on Oct. 26. Other notable names on the men's shortlist include Erling Haaland, Vinícius Jr., Jude Bellingham, and Lautaro Martínez. In the coaching category, Luis Enrique, Vincent Kompany, Mikel Arteta, Luis de la Fuente, and Unai Emery are the five finalists for men's coach of the year.
Additional honors include the Young Talent of the Year, where Yamal and Warren Zaïre-Emery are among 10 starlets listed. Vozinha is nominated for goalkeeper of the year following his World Cup performance, competing against Thibaut Courtois and Emiliano Martínez. For the club of the year award, European champions Barcelona are favorites against a field that includes Arsenal, Flamengo, and Bodo/Glimt.
