The Dallas Cowboys have $33.6 million in available salary cap space according to NFLPA figures, owner and general manager Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. This financial flexibility follows last week’s restructuring of contracts for defensive tackle Kenny Clark, cornerback DaRon Bland, and tight end Jake Ferguson, which cleared more than $19 million in room. Jones characterized the current situation as "serious room financially" to execute a trade before the November 10 deadline.

While Jones indicated that general trade discussions have continued, he clarified that no specific deals are currently on the table. The owner expressed a willingness to sacrifice future draft capital—specifically for the 2027 draft where the team holds first, second, fourth, and sixth-round picks—to improve the 2026 roster. This follows a recent move where Dallas acquired offensive tackle Broderick Jones and a fourth-round pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for third- and sixth-round selections.

If a move occurs, Jones identified the defense as the primary area for potential depth additions. He cited high confidence in the existing offensive roster, specifically highlighting the depth at quarterback and tight end, alongside a receiving corps featuring CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. Any unused cap space from the current $33.6 million total would roll over to the 2027 season.
