New York Jets rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. will return for Sunday's road game against the New England Patriots after being sidelined by a high ankle sprain since the first drive of the season opener. Cooper, a first-round pick who recorded a 30-yard reception against the Tennessee Titans in his four-snap NFL debut, was a full participant in Friday's practice. Coach Aaron Glenn confirmed the receiver will be activated from injured reserve to bolster an offense that currently features Garrett Wilson’s team-high 31 receptions.
Running back Breece Hall will miss his third consecutive game due to a quadriceps injury, leaving Braelon Allen to lead the backfield following his 116-yard rushing performance against the Cleveland Browns. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell is also ruled out for his fourth straight contest as he recovers from a surgical procedure on his right hand. Additionally, left guard Dylan Parham will miss his third straight game with a knee injury.
On the defensive side, edge rusher Joseph Ossai is ruled out with an ankle injury, marking his third missed game since signing a three-year, $34.5 million contract. Rookie tight end Kenyon Sadiq practiced fully on Friday and is finishing concussion protocol after exiting last week's home victory. The 2-3 Jets currently have one open roster spot heading into the matchup.
