Josh Allen Accounts for Five Touchdowns in Bills' 41-31 Win Over Lions

Cook gained 104 rushing yards before first contact throughout the contest, marking his third career game reaching that century mark. The Bills' offense produced 11 first downs in the opening quarter, their highest total in a single period since Week 9 of the 2020 season. Buffalo played the second half without wide receiver DJ Moore, who exited in the second quarter with a shoulder injury, while defensive tackle Ed Oliver was a late scratch due to a hip injury.

Detroit fell to 1-1 despite quarterback Jared Goff completing 26-of-38 passes for 327 yards and four touchdowns. Goff reached 40,000 career passing yards in his 153rd game, the sixth-fastest pace in NFL history. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown caught nine passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns, including a 2-yard score to open the third quarter. The Lions played without starting offensive linemen Christian Mahogany and Blake Miller, and the defense has now surrendered at least 30 points in consecutive games to start the season for the first time since 2021.
