Rooney secured his hat trick in the 63rd minute with a header from a Jay McEvoy corner and recorded his fourth goal three minutes later with a strike from inside the penalty area. Jaume Camacho and substitute Noah Ajayi added late goals to finalize the scoreline. The victory, managed by Darren Fletcher, moves United into second place in the league table with six wins from their first eight matches.
