Kylian Mbappé has officially signed with Swiss sportswear brand On, ending a long-term partnership with Nike that dated back to his childhood. The Real Madrid forward, who previously wore Nike Mercurial boots, will now serve as a global ambassador for the Swiss company. According to an official statement, Mbappé will work directly with product teams to influence future designs as the brand enters the football market.
On, which launched in 2010 as a running shoe manufacturer, added Roger Federer as a co-owner in 2019. Alongside the Mbappé announcement, the brand confirmed that former France and Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has been appointed as their director of football. Henry has spent the past year observing the brand's development process and will now help shape the company's approach to player needs.
Sydney Schertenleib, who has been with the brand since 2025, will lead product development and testing for the new football line. Mbappé’s move follows a similar departure by Lamine Yamal, who recently left Nike to sign with Adidas. Co-CEO David Allemann stated the brand aims to connect elite performance with football culture across the pitch, pavement, and runway.
