Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. exited Monday's 110-105 loss to Memphis early in the first half due to wrist and knee injuries.

The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 110-105 on Monday night as Utah forwards Lauri Markkanen and Jaren Jackson Jr. both exited with injuries during the first half. Markkanen left the game with 5:58 remaining in the first quarter after his right arm was sandwiched between Jackson and Cameron Boozer on the perimeter. He recorded two points in six minutes of play before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest.

Jackson departed with 10:04 left in the second quarter due to an injury to his right knee. Before his exit, he contributed six points, three rebounds, and two assists in 10 minutes of action. Both players are scheduled to undergo MRI exams on Tuesday to determine the severity of their respective injuries. Jazz coach Will Hardy stated after the game that the team would have more information following the imaging results.

Markkanen entered the matchup averaging 20.7 points and 7.3 rebounds through Utah's first three games. Jackson, who averaged 19.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in the same span, previously underwent surgery on his left knee after appearing in only three games for the Jazz last season. Markkanen has not played more than 66 games in a single season since joining Utah prior to the 2022-23 campaign.
