Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. has recorded one catch for 33 yards on four targets through the first two games of his third season. During a Week 1 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, Harrison faced single coverage on only seven of his 32 routes. The receiver also cited the defensive performance of the Seattle Seahawks as a factor in his limited production during the early stretch of the schedule.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett noted that while Harrison is facing outside criticism, the team maintains confidence in the former Ohio State star. Brissett described the lack of production as a combination of factors, including protection, route running, and defensive coverage schemes. Harrison stated his preparation process remains consistent regardless of whether he records zero or 10 catches, utilizing a Jugs machine for extra work both before and after team practices.

Head coach Mike LaFleur and fellow receiver Michael Wilson addressed the negative social media narrative surrounding the slow start. Wilson noted that other teammates with similar early-season statistics have not faced the same level of scrutiny. Harrison acknowledged he is aware of the expectations following his high draft status but remains focused on his weekly preparation from Monday through Saturday.
