Closer Mason Miller is available for Wednesday's elimination game against the Brewers after returning from the paternity list.

San Diego Padres closer Mason Miller has been added back to the National League Division Series roster for Wednesday night's Game 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers. Miller, who replaces left-handed reliever Wandy Peralta, returns to the active lineup one day after being placed on the paternity list to witness the birth of his first child. Manager Craig Stammen confirmed the right-hander is available to pitch as the Padres trail the best-of-five series two games to one.

Walker Buehler will start for San Diego on a short leash, facing Brewers left-hander Robert Gasser. The bullpen status of setup man Adrian Morejon remains uncertain after he experienced stiffness in his throwing shoulder during a Monday catch session. Morejon, a pending free agent, did not pitch during Tuesday's 4-3 victory, though Stammen noted the pitcher felt better following that contest and will be evaluated after a pre-game throwing session.

Ace Michael King is expected to be available for relief duty despite throwing 40 pitches over the final two innings of Game 4. While King was originally lined up to start a potential Game 5, Stammen indicated the team will prioritize immediate needs to avoid elimination. The Padres medical staff will consult with Morejon later Wednesday afternoon to determine his final status for the evening.
