AC Milan and Inter Milan have reached a 20-year agreement worth €650 million ($725 million) with Generali for their new 71,500-seat venue.

AC Milan and Inter Milan announced a naming rights agreement with Italian insurance firm Generali for their new 71,500-seat venue, which will be named Generali Stadium. Sources confirmed to ESPN that the deal is valued at €650 million ($725 million) over a 20-year duration. The clubs previously purchased the land for the project from the city for €197 million ($230 million) in November 2023.

Renderings revealed on Thursday show a design inspired by the Duomo di Milano featuring two seating tiers in a continuous 360-degree bowl. The stadium will include "Curvas" designed as steep walls with seating inclinations reaching 37 degrees. The architectural project is a collaboration between Foster+Partners and MANICA, led by Lord Norman Foster and David Manica, who previously designed Wembley Stadium.

Construction for the new arena is scheduled to begin in 2028, with the first match targeted for the 2031-32 season. The project, driven by RedBird Capital Partners and Oaktree, includes a broader urban regeneration plan featuring public green areas, retail, and leisure spaces. The new facility will replace the historic San Siro, originally built in 1926, as the clubs seek to increase matchday revenue to compete with European rivals and prepare for the 2032 European Championship.
