Nine NFL offensive coordinators aged 35 or younger, including 30-year-olds Declan Doyle and Grant Udinski, are leading offenses in the 2026 season.

Nine NFL offensive coordinators aged 35 or younger are currently leading units in the 2026 season, nearly doubling the total of five such coordinators from 2025. The group includes Declan Doyle (Baltimore), Grant Udinski (Jacksonville), Davis Webb (Denver), David Blough (Washington), Travis Switzer (Cleveland), Sean Mannion (Philadelphia), Tommy Rees (Atlanta), Brad Idzik (Carolina), and Nate Scheelhaase (Los Angeles Rams).

Declan Doyle, the league's youngest playcaller at age 30, faces a Thursday night matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars with undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano starting at quarterback. The Ravens have been held to 14 or fewer points in three consecutive games following injuries to Lamar Jackson, backup Tyler Huntley, and three starting centers. Despite these setbacks, Doyle’s innovation included a Week 6 play where tight end Josh Cuevas lined up at left guard to record a 29-yard reception.

Grant Udinski, also 30, serves as the right-hand man to Jaguars playcaller Liam Coen. Under their direction, Jacksonville has produced 28.0 points per game, the fifth-highest average in the league this season. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence credited Udinski's reliability and preparation for the unit's success.

Other young coordinators have faced recent role changes or performance struggles. Denver’s Davis Webb, 31, had playcalling duties revoked by Sean Payton after four games. During Webb's tenure, the Broncos ranked 27th in scoring at 18.5 points per game, while quarterback Bo Nix posted a 44.3 QBR. In Philadelphia, 34-year-old Sean Mannion oversees an offense that ranks last in the league with 265.3 yards per game, the franchise's lowest mark through eight weeks since 2003. Washington's David Blough, 31, recently navigated a Week 3 performance of 33 points against Seattle but faced criticism for a late-game clock management error in an overtime loss to the Giants.
