NBA Rank 2026: Countdown Begins With Players 100-51

ESPN has released its rankings for players 100-51 for the 2026-27 season, led by a panel of seven experts including Bobby Marks and Zach Kram.

ESPN has launched its NBA Rank 2026 countdown for the 2026-27 season, beginning with players ranked 100 through 51. The list was determined by a new seven-member panel consisting of Ben Golliver, Vincent Goodwill, Zach Kram, Bobby Marks, Dave McMenamin, André Snellings, and Matt Williams. Rankings are based on predicted quality and quantity of contributions for the upcoming regular season only.

Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson entered the list at No. 97 after being selected fourth overall in the most recent draft. Wilson averaged 42% on 7.8 3-point attempts per game during summer league. Another high-profile rookie, Memphis Grizzlies forward Cameron Boozer, debuted at No. 85. Boozer averaged 22.5 points and 10.2 rebounds at Duke, becoming the first underclassman to average a 20-10-4 stat line since 1976-77.

Several veterans saw significant shifts in their standing. Jimmy Butler III fell to No. 92 following a right ACL injury that may sideline him until early 2027. Draymond Green dropped to No. 93, despite averaging a career-high 4.6 3-point attempts last season. Conversely, Josh Giddey rose to No. 80 after recording 13 triple-doubles for the Bulls, the second-most in a single season in franchise history.

Offseason trades heavily influenced the rankings. Luguentz Dort (No. 100) and CJ McCollum (No. 87) now represent the Atlanta Hawks, while Naz Reid (No. 81) moved to the Charlotte Hornets as part of a trade for LaMelo Ball. The countdown continues Wednesday with players ranked 50-11.
