The NFC North earned the No. 1 spot in the 2026 division power rankings, as every team in the group currently occupies a postseason berth.

The NFC North is ranked as the best division in the NFL for the 2026 season, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano. As of Week 6, following the Seattle Seahawks' loss to the Denver Broncos, all four teams in the division—the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and Detroit Lions—would qualify for the playoffs if the season ended today. The division holds a combined Football Power Index (FPI) rating of 6.0, which ranks second overall among the eight divisions.

Minnesota leads the group with a 5-0 record, supported by the league's top-ranked defense and special teams units. The Chicago Bears, currently 12th in FPI, may see the return of quarterback Caleb Williams from injury in Week 6. The Green Bay Packers hold the 10th-best offensive FPI despite offensive line struggles, while the Detroit Lions rank fourth in offensive FPI but 30th defensively.

The NFC West follows at No. 2 with the highest combined FPI rating of 8.8. The 5-0 San Francisco 49ers lead the NFL in FPI, while the Los Angeles Rams sit at 2-3 despite a third-place FPI ranking. Seattle currently holds a 3-3 record and ranks second in defensive FPI, while the Arizona Cardinals are ranked 30th overall.

In the AFC, the North division ranks third as the only other group where every team has a winning record. The 4-1 Baltimore Ravens lead the division, though quarterback Lamar Jackson is currently sidelined with a left ankle injury. The Cincinnati Bengals, led by Joe Burrow, rank eighth in the NFL according to FPI and are noted for having the league's easiest remaining schedule.
