The NFL is reviewing footage of line judge Jeff Seeman apparently cursing at Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during a Week 5 matchup.

The New York Giants defeated the Arizona Cardinals 36-24 on Sunday, a contest capped by Deonte Banks intercepting Jacoby Brissett for a pick-six as time expired. Following the game, the NFL confirmed it is reviewing an official's apparent use of profanity directed at Cardinals tight end Trey McBride. Cameras captured line judge Jeff Seeman directed the language at McBride with less than five minutes remaining in regulation.

The interaction occurred after officials declined to penalize New York's Dru Phillips for illegal contact or pass interference on a third-and-2 play. McBride was contacted before the ball arrived from Brissett, resulting in an Arizona punt. NFL Players Association executive director JC Tretter publicly called for the league to hold the official to the same accountability standards as players, noting the behavior was unacceptable.

While the NFL Referees Association did not immediately comment, the league's review remains ongoing. The Cardinals failed to convert the late-game possession following the non-call, leading to the final 12-point margin of victory for the Giants.
