Analysts project Ravens running back Derrick Henry will be held to 48 rushing yards on 16 carries against a Bills defense that leads the NFL in yards allowed before contact.

ESPN analysts have issued 15 predictions for NFL Week 8, following the Green Bay Packers' victory over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night. Analytics writer Seth Walder projects Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry will record 48 rushing yards on 16 carries against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills defense currently ranks first in the league for yards allowed before contact and has limited opponents to 2.8 yards per outside zone run, while Baltimore utilizes that scheme on 49% of their plays.

In the NFC North, analyst Ben Solak predicts Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff will throw his first interception of the 2026 season against the Minnesota Vikings. Goff enters the matchup with 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions, a start that matches Russell Wilson’s 2019 record through six games. Additionally, Solak projects Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Germie Bernard will record his first 100-yard game, facing a Cleveland Browns defense that previously limited DK Metcalf in Week 4.

Betting analyst Pamela Maldonado identifies the Cleveland Browns (+3.5) and the Baltimore Ravens (+3.5) as potential outright winners. The Browns face a Steelers offense that settles for field goals due to Cleveland's red-zone pass defense, while the Ravens face a Bills defense allowing a 45% conversion rate on third downs.

Stat projections for individual performers include a combined 2.0 sacks and five pressures for Steelers edges Alex Highsmith and Nick Herbig against Cleveland rookie tackle Spencer Fano. In Indianapolis, Laquon Treadwell is projected to record five receptions for 61 yards and a touchdown against Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones, who has surrendered 1.8 yards per coverage snap this season.
