Patrick Dorgu Returns to Manchester United for Assessment Following Hamstring Injury

Patrick Dorgu has returned to Carrington for medical assessment after sustaining a suspected hamstring injury during international duty. The 21-year-old was forced off the pitch 30 minutes into Denmark’s 2-0 Nations League victory over Wales on Sunday, September 27. According to Rob Dawson of ESPN, the defender will now undergo tests with Manchester United's medical staff and is set to miss Denmark's upcoming fixtures against Portugal and the return match against Wales.

Manchester United’s next scheduled match is a Premier League meeting with Tottenham at Old Trafford on October 10. While Dorgu undergoes evaluation, midfielder Bruno Fernandes remains with the Portugal squad despite missing their recent win over Norway. Fernandes has been managing an ongoing issue since United’s 4-0 Champions League victory against Sabah FK on September 10, though he recently completed 90 minutes against both Manchester City and Fulham after passing late fitness tests.

Fernandes also featured for the final 20 minutes of United's 3-2 Carabao Cup loss to Brighton. He is considered a possibility to play for Portugal against Denmark on Thursday. Portugal is scheduled to face Norway in the Nations League on October 4 before the international break concludes ahead of United's fixture against Tottenham the following weekend.
