Despite the upcoming November 10 trade deadline, the Las Vegas Raiders have not held discussions with other teams regarding a deal for five-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby.
The Las Vegas Raiders do not plan to trade five-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby ahead of the November 10 deadline, league sources told ESPN. Unlike the previous season, the star defensive end has expressed a desire to remain with the franchise for the duration of his career. While the Baltimore Ravens previously traded two first-round draft picks for Crosby during the offseason, that transaction was nullified after he failed a physical.
Las Vegas enters its Sunday matchup against the New York Jets with a 3-4 record, marking a chance to reach .500 in November for the first time since 2020. Quarterback Kirk Cousins remains the entrenched starter for this contest. Cousins currently leads the NFL with 16 touchdown passes and ranks third in the league with 1,817 passing yards, having thrown five interceptions through seven games.
Raiders management intends to keep Cousins in the starting role through a difficult upcoming schedule that includes games against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and Cleveland Browns. Although the team could potentially turn to first-overall pick Fernando Mendoza following their Week 13 bye, the current preference is for Cousins to finish the season as the starter. The organization has not engaged in any trade discussions involving Crosby this season.
