Baltimore fell 33-10 to Jacksonville on Thursday, marking the first time in the team's 31-year history they have lost three straight games by 20 or more points.
The Baltimore Ravens fell to 4-5 on the season following a 33-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night. According to ESPN, the defeat marked a fourth consecutive game where Baltimore was held under 14 points, a new franchise record for offensive futility. The Ravens have now lost three straight games by at least 20 points for the first time in their 31-year history, following a 22-point loss to the Bengals and a 26-point loss to the Bills.
Playing without quarterback Lamar Jackson, who was placed on injured reserve with a right thumb injury, Baltimore recorded its fewest passing yards in nine years with just 55. Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano made his first career start, averaging 3.3 yards per pass attempt, the lowest mark in the NFL this season. With backup Tyler "Snoop" Huntley also sidelined by a toe injury, running back Derrick Henry took 10 direct snaps in the Wildcat formation.
Discipline issues persisted as the Ravens committed four false starts, increasing their league-leading total to 24. First-year coach Jesse Minter declined to confirm reports from ESPN and NFL Network that the team is finalizing a trade for veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett, which is expected to be completed this weekend. Jackson, who previously suffered a high left ankle sprain, will miss at least the next three games. Baltimore now enters an 11-day break before hosting the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football.
