Ruoning Yin captured the FM Championship on Sunday at TPC Boston, finishing with a 2-under 70 to secure a two-stroke victory over Hyo Joo Kim. The 23-year-old Chinese golfer ended a 672-day winless drought, marking her first triumph since the 2024 Maybank Championship. Yin concluded the tournament with her sixth career LPGA Tour title after navigating breezy conditions in Norton, Massachusetts. She sealed the win by birdying the par-5 18th hole following a critical 25-foot birdie putt on the par-5 12th that allowed her to pull even with Kim.

Hyo Joo Kim, a two-time winner this season, finished in second place after shooting a 71. Her momentum stalled on the back nine, starting with a three-putt bogey on the par-3 16th where she failed to convert a 9-foot par attempt. Kim also missed a 7-foot birdie opportunity on the par-3 17th. Allisen Corpuz took third place alone, finishing at 11 under par following a final-round 68. Rose Zhang, a member of the U.S. Solheim Cup team, also posted a 68 to finish one stroke behind Corpuz in a tie for fourth.

Sei Young Kim shared fourth place with Zhang after carding a 73. Her round was defined by a volatile stretch on the back nine; after chipping in for birdie on the par-3 11th to take a one-stroke lead, she surrendered four shots over the subsequent three holes. This slide included a double bogey and two bogeys. Meanwhile, Yin maintained her composure by recording five consecutive pars between the 13th and 17th holes before her final birdie on the 18th.

World No. 1 Nelly Korda finished the event in a tie for 50th place. Korda signed for a 73 on Sunday to finish at 1 over par total. This tournament served as the final competitive tune-up before the Solheim Cup, scheduled for September 11-13 in the Netherlands. European captain Anna Nordqvist also participated in her final LPGA Tour event as a player, finishing in a tie for 38th. Nordqvist shot a 72 to end the week at 1 under par.

For Yin, the victory represented a significant return to the winner's circle after winning twice in 2023 and three times in 2024. She noted that having her mother present for the win made the moment special, emphasizing that the result would boost her confidence.
