Entering the bout as a -330 favorite, Garcia dropped Benn with a right hand during the second frame. Although Benn returned to his feet, referee Thomas Taylor halted the contest as Garcia continued to land punches.

This victory marked Garcia's first defense of the WBC championship he secured against Mario Barrios in February. The Zuffa Boxing main event was Garcia's third career appearance at the 147-pound limit. The result matched Garcia's pre-fight prediction shared on "First Take," where he stated he expected to win the bout by knockout.

Conor Benn (25-2, 14 KOs) suffered his second loss in four fights following the stoppage. The match represented Benn's first time competing at welterweight since April 2022, having most recently defeated Regis Prograis at a 150-pound catchweight in April.
