Atlético enters the contest following a summer recruitment drive that added Jonathan David, Cristian Romero, Alex Grimaldo, and Kang-in Lee to the squad. Conversely, Alexander Sorloth is sidelined with an injury, and Julián Álvarez has seen limited action following a summer bid to join Barcelona.
