Jeeno Thitikul and Polly Mack share the second-round lead at the LOTTE Championship after both players carded 7-under 65s on Friday. Thitikul, the world's second-ranked player, secured her share of the top spot by sinking a 12-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole at Hoakalei Country Club. The 23-year-old Thai golfer remains bogey-free through 36 holes with a total score of 12-under 132.
Mack matched Thitikul’s 132 total by also closing her round with a birdie on the 18th. The German golfer noted that calm afternoon conditions followed the rain and wind experienced during Thursday's opening round. Trailing the leaders by a single stroke are Italy’s Carolina Melgrati, who shot 65, and South Korea’s Ina Yoon, who posted a 67.
First-round leader A Lim Kim, the 2024 tournament winner, sits at 10 under par following a 69. She is tied with Michelle Zhang, who recorded a 67 on Friday. Further down the leaderboard, Nasa Hataoka turned in a 65 and Miyu Yamashita shot 67 to finish the day at 9 under par. This event precedes the Buick LPGA Shanghai, scheduled for Oct. 15-18.
