New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson announced on Friday that medical tests have come back "positive and reassuring" following a recent emergency involving unexplained neurological symptoms. According to a statement reported by ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the 24-year-old experienced a medical crisis that impacted his physical functions, coordination, and strength. While the specific cause remains unknown and unexplainable, Henderson is currently working with physical therapists and specialists to facilitate his recovery.
Henderson has not practiced since landing on the injury report with an illness designation on Oct. 29. He was sidelined during New England's recent victory over the Miami Dolphins. The former Ohio State standout previously participated in two practices following the team's Oct. 22 loss to the Chicago Bears before the medical symptoms emerged.
Through six games this season, the 2025 second-round draft pick has recorded 203 rushing yards on 52 carries, averaging 3.9 yards per attempt with one touchdown. He has also contributed five receptions for 45 yards. This follows a rookie campaign in which Henderson played every regular-season game, amassing 911 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground, alongside 221 receiving yards and one scores through the air.
