Golden State overcame a 10-point third-quarter deficit to defeat Phoenix 116-113 following the 31st career ejection of Draymond Green.

The Golden State Warriors secured their fifth consecutive victory with a 116-113 win over the Phoenix Suns on Monday night. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 34 points in 33 minutes, shooting 11-of-12 from the free-throw line and making five 3-pointers. Backup center Charles Bassey recorded career-high totals of 19 points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes of play.

With 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter, Draymond Green was disqualified after receiving two technical fouls in a single sequence. The incident began when Green was knocked down while defending Suns center Khaman Maluach. Green rose and committed a personal foul on Maluach before throwing him to the court, resulting in the first technical. Phoenix forward Dillon Brooks then confronted Green, leading to a double technical foul for both players and Green's automatic ejection.

At the time of Green's departure, Golden State trailed 67-57. The Warriors subsequently outscored Phoenix by 13 points to erase the double-digit deficit. The disqualification marked Green's 23rd regular-season ejection in his 15-year career and his first of the current season. Through six games, Green has accumulated three technical fouls.

Curry, who is currently third in the NBA with a 30-point scoring average, has converted 51 of his 52 free-throw attempts this season. Following the win, Curry noted that the ejection motivated the team to respond during the second night of a back-to-back set.
