Victor Wembanyama powered the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-111 win over the Mavericks with a career-high 52 points and 24 rebounds.

Victor Wembanyama recorded career highs of 52 points and 24 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. According to ESPN, the 22-year-old center also tallied eight blocks, the most ever recorded in a 50-point game since the statistic became official in 1973-74. San Antonio secured its sixth consecutive win despite Kyrie Irving scoring 29 points for Dallas and missing a potential game-winning 15-foot jumper with three seconds left.

Wembanyama established an NBA record in the first half by posting 29 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocks, making him the first player in the play-by-play era (since 1996-97) to reach those benchmarks in a single half. He finished the game as the second player in league history to pair at least 50 points and 20 rebounds with five blocks, joining Bob McAdoo. Additionally, his 24 rebounds represent the highest total in a 50-point performance since Chris Webber in 2001.

Supporting the Spurs' effort, Dylan Harper scored 21 points while Stephon Castle contributed 17 points and 10 rebounds. For the Mavericks, Naji Marshall scored 22 points, P.J. Washington had 21, and Cooper Flagg added 19. The impact of Wembanyama was reflected in the box score as San Antonio was a plus-23 during his minutes on the court and a minus-22 when he was on the bench.

During one defensive sequence with 3:38 remaining in the second quarter, Wembanyama recorded three blocks in 13 seconds. Despite struggling at the free-throw line late in the game—going 1-for-4 in the final 2:10—he secured two critical putbacks in the closing 2:39. This performance marks Wembanyama's second career 50-point game, placing him alongside George Gervin and David Robinson as the only Spurs with multiple 50-point outings.
