Chandler Blanchet and Kensei Hirata share a one-shot lead at 13-under 129 following the second round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship.

Chandler Blanchet and Kensei Hirata share the 36-hole lead at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship with matching totals of 13-under 129. Hirata, a PGA Tour rookie, posted a bogey-free 8-under 64 on Friday at Port Royal. Blanchet carded a 4-under 67, punctuated by a birdie on the par-4 18th hole where he hit a blind wedge shot from an uphill lie to within 5 feet of the pin.

Séamus Power moved into a five-way tie for third place at 12-under par after recording a bogey-free 64. He sits one stroke behind the leaders alongside Corey Conners (67), Eric Cole (65), Ben Silverman (67), and Danny Walker (67). Walker reached his 12-under total by recording birdies on his final two holes of the day.

Low scoring across the field resulted in a 36-hole cut of 5-under 137. Defending champion Adam Schenk failed to reach the weekend, as did Chandler Phillips, who entered the week ranked No. 98 in the FedEx Cup Fall standings. Power, currently ranked No. 103, is seeking a top-100 finish to secure full status for the 2027 season.

Weather conditions are expected to shift for the final two rounds, with forecasts predicting stronger wind gusts at the Port Royal course. The tournament is one of five remaining events for players to finalize their positions within the top 100 of the FedEx Cup Fall standings.
