The Milwaukee Brewers moved within three outs of a Game 1 victory after Luis Lara drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning.

The Milwaukee Brewers entered the final inning of Game 1 of the National League Championship Series with a narrow lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday night. After trailing early, Milwaukee tied the game on an RBI by Brice Turang before Luis Lara provided the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning. Reliever Abner Uribe preserved the advantage by striking out a batter to strand two Los Angeles baserunners.

Los Angeles opened the scoring behind an RBI from Andy Pages. Dodgers starter Tarik Skubal dominated the early frames, recording six strikeouts through the first three innings of play. On the mound for Milwaukee, Jacob Misiorowski began the contest with a scoreless first inning that featured a pitch clocked at 102 MPH.

This matchup serves as a rematch of the 2025 NLCS. The Brewers are currently three outs away from securing a 1-0 series lead at home as the game enters its conclusion.
